Inspecting Your
Septic System
A failed septic system can be very hazardous to health and can be expensive to repair. We strongly recommend a septic inspection as part of your purchase.
To reduce public health risks and protect drinking water supplies, state legislation sets minimum construction, design, and permitting standards for onsite sewage systems.
A house with a septic system should have an inspection performed by a licensed septic inspector to ensure it is performing correctly. A septic tank/absorption field is the most common onsite sewage treatment system in use in Missouri and failing systems result not only in water quality problems and nuisance conditions but also in costly repairs.

Sewer Lateral System
The sewer lateral is the main drain from the house that connects to the municipal sewer system. Many problems can occur from root blockage, collapse, or misalignment that interrupt the flow and can require expensive repairs.
A sewer lateral inspection is done by sending a video camera through the drain to document the condition of the pipe and look for any concerns.

Inspections
Natural gas and propane gas systems consist of pipes running from outside to deliver gas to appliances in the house. Gas leaks are very hazardous and can lead to fire or explosion and faulty appliances can malfunction and produce carbon monoxide, a deadly gas.
A gas inspection checks for leaks and appliance function to attempt to detect any hazardous conditions or required maintenance or replacements.

Radon Gas
We perform radon inspections using Honeywell continuous radon monitors.
Radon is a radioactive gas that comes from the natural decay of uranium in the soil. The gas then seeps through any access point into a home. Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer behind smoking and in smokers, greatly increases the risk of lung cancer.
